About Ateljé Ann Bonander Looft
Ann Bonander Looft's knitted creations is a total mix of barock, jugend, 70's, art, theater and contemporary design. The process never stops. And the process for creating the hand knitted pieces can be compared with the creative process when an artist is painting. Ann Bonander Looft has a clear image of the pieces in her head, inspired by the times mentioned above. And then se starts knitting. Always without a pattern. When the creation is finished, her Swedish hand knitters start producing.
In her Stockholm Studio, Ann Bonander Looft combines her knitted work with the work of theater, film and TV as costume and set designer.
The craftmanship is always in focus in the creative process as well as form, color and material.
All pieces are also knitted on request and are available in the studio and shop in Stockholm.
