My collection

I tailor when I knit, I never use patterns. My collections emerge from my imagination, down through my fingers, and out into the material. I think my long experience in tailoring and measurement/cutting along with all the theatre I’ve done, gives me the freedom to improvise without boundaries. Not everything I create is even meant to be worn…

My inspiration comes from so many different things; a picture in a magazine, a thought, art, fashion, someone passing by, which gives me an image in my head that has to be done. Sometimes I imagine I’m like an author, where my knitting needles are the pen, and every stitch becoming a letter.

I love “form,” when something happens, the turn around, going inwards, going outwards. I also observe how the yarn answers me, adapting the creations so the yarn accepts them. I knit hours and hours each day, I see myself as one who is involved in the craftsmanship through different époques of fashion and the arts.
